BACnet OPC server



The BACnet protocol is applied in large automation systems of buildings or complexes (shopping centers, business centers, airports, etc.). One of the most important BACnet features is a high degree of versatility and flexibility: the protocol supports a large number of objects and data types, and provides a poll of various physical parameters.

MasterOPC BACnet OPC Server is developed as a plugin for Multi-Protocol MasterOPC Server; this allows OPC clients to get data according the standards OPC DA, OPC HDA or/and OPC UA. The OPC server provides group reading of objects and segmentation, and this makes a poll fast. In addition, the server can be configured for working in various network types.

BACnet MasterOPC Server supports the most common protocol edition, BACnet IP, that operates in TCP/IP networks (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, GPRS). The server supports the standards OPC DA (transfer of current data) and OPC HDA (transfer of archive data), and the modern standard OPC UA.

Import of tags

In order to make BACnet complexity imperceptible for user, and to make configuring the OPC server automated as much as possible, a special utility of automated import of devices and tags is implemented in the OPC server. This utility allows getting the full set of controller objects, knowing only a BACnet address of that controller. If an address is unknown, it is possible to find all of devices available in network.

  • View of parameters of all devices found
